Hi, I'm a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with a Master of Speech Pathology (CPSP MSPA) and a Bachelor of Social Science (BSocSc(SocWelf)). I'm also a co-owner of an Allied Health clinic where I work as a clinician offering speech pathology services.
I work across the lifespan with both children and adults, using an approach that supports the varied ways people communicate and engage with each other. Working with clients exploring their own communication style meant finding examples of communication in action, then framing questions to help them reflect on their own experiences and preferences.
Like a lot of clinicians, I found myself spending hours trawling the internet for video examples that would actually resonate with my clients, then building prompt questions and activities around them from scratch. What I discovered along the way is that clients connect really well with relatable, real world examples, especially through popular animations and media they already know and love.
That experience is what sparked this resource. It was built alongside another practicing speech pathologist, so everything here comes from current, on the ground clinical experience.
My hope is that it saves you hours of time and facilitates some meaningful discussions.
Hello! I’m Elizabeth, BA (Hons) (CPSP), and I have been practising as a Speech Pathologist in the Public Education and Disability sector for over twenty years.
I also operate Talk and Teach; providing quality speech therapy resources for Allied Health clinicians, Educators, carers and Speech Language Pathologists.
I am a Mum to four children, one of whom is neurodivergent. I understand the time it takes to find high-quality resources for clinical practice. As a busy Mum and therapist, I am always looking for easy-to-use resources that can be tailored to my clients' needs. I believe in a strengths-based, neuro-affirming approach to therapy, where my clients can explore their communication style and encourage discussion of the many different ways people interact with one another. I am continually looking for practical resources that I can use straight away in sessions with minimal preparation required!

Topic Talk Co is a growing library of content; organised by broad age groupings, covering young children, children, teens, and adults. Specific ages are intentionally not listed, as developmental age and individual needs play an important role in how content is best used. Please note that some resources in the adult category may contain mature themes or language, which will always be clearly indicated. We encourage you to use your knowledge of the person or group you are working with to guide your selection. All content is accessible online through your subscription with no downloads required. New resources are added regularly and are highlighted when you log in.
The majority of content is accessible directly via a link in your subscription with no additional steps required. However, a small number of resources are linked to content hosted on other platforms such as ABC iview or Disney+, which may require an existing account with that platform. To avoid any confusion, these resources are listed under a separate heading so you always know what to expect before you begin.
